Primary Care Healthcare Providers

Primary Care Practice Doctors

Primary Care Doctors specialize in medicine, internal medicine or pediatrics and are your main healthcare provider. This is the provider you see first for routine care and health problems and who will refer you to a specialist when needed. Think of your Primary Care Doctor as the center to your “medical home” – a team dedicated to helping you get the best possible healthcare.

Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant

A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse (RN) who has a graduate degree in advanced practice nursing. At Excelsior Springs Hospital, our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants are important members of your healthcare team and can diagnose illness, conduct exams, and prescribe medication.
