Hello and Happy March!
The adage about “if you don’t like the weather, wait a day and it will change” comes to mind this week. I am excited about Spring and longer days of sunshine!
We are excited to have new services and new providers coming to Excelsior Springs Hospital. Our Pediatric services and Psychiatric Care schedules are filling up. Our Outpatient Specialty Clinics will soon add more Urology services with the return of the Kansas City Urology Group and new ENT services, provided by Dr. Peter Gochee. These are amazing providers bringing options for care right to our doorstep! I can’t wait to introduce them to you in the next few months.
Our Board of Trustees and Excelsior Springs Health Care Foundation Board include the coolest group of people to hang out with! Sometimes, the work that they provide seems to get lost in our day-to-day operations, but these volunteers really do go above and beyond every day, to represent the hospital, provide support to the work that we do every day, and to remain open-minded to the countless agenda items and requests that we make of them. We have a quick feature article today that highlights the Foundation Board and will add our Board of Directors interviews over the next few months.
March also starts some active weather in our area. With the help of Collette Culver, Director of Emergency Preparedness, I feel that we are better prepared for what comes our way! Read about some of the work being done to keep our hospital, staff, patients, and community members safe!
I hope that you will find value in our Vision Newsletters – I love sharing the things that we are doing and hope that it brings information about our services to you. We love to showcase not only our hospital and services, but the great communities that we are a part of. Without community, we are nothing. We value your thoughts and hope that you will continue to share your stories with us and those around you.
St. Patrick’s Day is upon us – don’t forget your green! And Easter is just around the corner – may that Big Bunny find his way to your home with lots of goodies and may the Easter season bring health, happiness, and peace to you.
Blessings,
Kristen T. DeHart
