If you need time and additional care to recover from a surgery, illness or injury, Excelsior Springs Hospital's Swing Bed Program can help. You may be ready to leave a hospital's acute care setting, but you may not be quite ready to go home.
As a patient in our Swing Bed program, you will have an entire team of professionals working together to develop a plan of care that is unique to your individual needs. Enjoy easy access to quality nursing care and advanced therapies.
While traditional skilled services are provided in a nursing home setting, Excelsior Springs Hospital provides private rooms on our hospital wing. Our experienced healthcare professionals will assist you or your loved one in becoming as independent as possible before being discharged.
During your stay and as part of your recovery, you will be encouraged to dress in street clothes, eat meals out of bed and participate in daily nursing or rehabilitation as needed.
