RadiologyAdvanced Diagnostic Imaging & Accurate Results

For preventive screenings or diagnostic exams, you can expect advanced imaging technology and accurate results at Excelsior Springs Hospital.  Our Radiology services include:

Computerized Tomography (CT)

Computer Tomography (CT) scans provide detailed images of internal organs, tissues and bones for accurate diagnosis of medical conditions.  At Excelsior Springs Hospital, our new Siemens Somatom 64 slice CT scanner offers high resolution while at the same time reducing radiation dose by nearly 70%.  We provide this technology 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for immediate diagnosis in an emergency.

DEXA Bone Density

Your bone health is our top priority.  Men and women both depend on a strong, healthy skeletal structure to live full, active lives.  Excelsior Springs Hospital supports the early detection of osteoporosis - a disease that causes bones to become more fragile and more likely to break - by performing your bone densitometry on our Horizon DXA system. The bones that are most commonly tested are the spine, hips and forearm. A detailed report will be sent to your doctor so that if needed, you can quickly begin treatment.
