Our partnerships with the Missouri Hospital Association and North Kansas City Hospital expand our health and wellness services, provide additional options for care and connect our community with quality healthcare resources. Since its creation in 1922, MHA has grown from 50 to 145 member hospitals. As a not-for-profit membership association, MHA represents every acute care hospital in the state, as well as most of the federal and state hospitals and rehabilitation and psychiatric care facilities.
For more than 40 years, North Kansas City Hospital and Excelsior Springs Hospital have worked closely together to provide quality healthcare in our communities. North Kansas City Hospital is a 451-licensed bed, acute-care facility with 520 physicians representing 46 medical specialties. It offers award-winning cardiovascular and orthopedic programs and advanced cancer treatment options, including world-class care through a partnership with the regions’s only National Cancer Institute-designated program. From a Level III neonatal intensive care unit to home health and hospice services, we care for people in every stage of life. The partnership between the two hospitals gives residents access to an expanded network of services and specialties through NKCH’s Meritas Health subsidiary. Meritas Health offers the largest network of physician practices in the Northland, with 135 physicians and advanced practitioners in 30 convenient locations.
