Excelsior Springs Hospital Receives 2015 Award for Workplace Safety

Excelsior Springs Hospital (ESH) recently received an award from Missouri Employers Mutual (MeM) for outstanding dedication to workplace safety.  ESH was one of only 20 recipients statewide, out of 14,000 MeM policy holders, to receive this award.  The award, which was presented by Greg Bounds and Lynn Peoples of MeM, is a result of the initiatives and measures ESH integrates into its daily workplace activities.  "By implementing best practices and a safety management program in the workplace, we not only protect our employees and prevent incidents from occurring, but we also reduce our annual workers' compensation costs," said Joni Schwan, Director of Human Resources & Safety.  Sally Nance, Chief Executive Officer said of the award, "We are honored to be recognized for the tremendous work done by our employees in creating a safe workplace for all staff members."
